Well I played Advent Children last night to put me to sleep so the last thing I heard was the characters voices.

So do you think the VA matches the characters' personality?

I personally think Cloud's english voice makes him sexier.

I don't really like Vincent's VA because it sounds creepy to me.

(o btw sorry if this is in the wrong place!)

I can't really say where this is supposed to go.

All considered, I like most of their VAs. Even if I'm prone to watching it in Japanese (with english subs) I know how they sound in the English and I really don't mind them at all. The only one that gets me on both is Marlene but that might be because I hate small children.

Cloud's is really good (though in Dissidia he sucked but everyone did so it's okay) Vincent's is hot (not creepy to me!) and I really like Reno's. But that might be because Quinton Flynn is win in my book.

Quinton Flynn is awesome. I found out he was Iruka in naruto and loved him even more =D

i personally have only watched it subbed, but i love all their voices that way. i have heard Clouds english voice from some amv's which include it, and i think he did a pretty good job. (which is a lot comming from me seeing as i hate english dubbing and refuse to watch anything that way.)

Quinton Flynn is definitely made of WIN! In everything he does. Seriously.

I love the English voice actors. I think they're really appropriate. Even Tifa, and her voice actor did annoy me just a bit. I thought she talked just a bit too fast. But that aside, still good. :]

I LOVE Sephiroth's voice in both English and Japanese.Its just so god darn sexy!!!ESPEACIALLY the way he says "Cloud".I swear just hearing the way that name justs rolls off his tongue is enough to make me nosebleed!!! I like Cloud better in Japanese,he was kinda emotionless in Dissidia and Vincent's voice is just plain H.O.T!!^^

I love love love Vincent's sound effects in DoC. When he's jumping or kicking...winnnn.

and honeyberries, I know what you mean. I love when he says 'Cloud' too.

And I really liked Seph's KH voice, actually. Lance Bass did a great job, I thought. I liked how he says Cloud too! xD "What is /Cloud/ doing?" heart.png

honestly I couldn't believe they got Lance Bass to voice Sephiroth in KH. I love Lance Bass but just not as Seph. It just sounded too weird to me. So I'm glad they got the other guy. His voice is dripping with sexiness!! lol.

I hated Hojo's voice the most though ><

Everyone else was great though. I guess sometimes Angeal put the emphasis on the wrong words but overall, the lipsyncing in CC was amazing. They did great with what they had to do XD

I'm pretty sure Crisis Core was one of the only games Square actually took effort into making look spectacular. They re-lipsynched the entire game for the N.A. release, which is why it came out so much later here in the states. Valiant effort, I'd say!

I have to agree with Tobi. I thought Lance did an excellent Seph!

Russian Genesis was FAIL though.

And I loved Angeal's voice. I think I might have noticed the strange emphasis on certain words, but I'd say Angeal did it intentionally. I think I loved him best when he said, "No story is not worth telling." Or whatever it was he said.

I was like, I know this is not supposed to be hot, but I'm going to squee inappropriately anyway. XD

Er, I liked the voice actors for Cloud and Tifa in the subbed version, a lot. Though not necessarily how they played the characters. I suppose I'm picky about how certain lines should be said, though I'm sure I prefer the Japanese VA's cause I can't really tell which words they are putting the emphasis on. Does that make sense? XD

I like most of the Japanese voices at least as well as their English VA counterparts, I just wish I could understand the Japanese voices without English subs (I try memorizing and looking away and guessing what's been said by whom but so far I suck, lol). I have to put a word in for Kadaj's English VA ... puddle of goo "FOUND YA!" OH.MY. @@##$%%^%%$$#@. GOD. I could eat that little hellcat with a spoon on his voice alone. smile.gif

The only voice actor I really, really dislike is Aerith's.

Although I am quite annoyed by Denzel's ACC actor. :/ It sounds way too much like a little girl.

And I know, totally off topic, but Quinton Flynn also did the voice acting for my other favorite bishie boy, Raiden from Metal Gear Solid. Which is funny as Hell, because I had Reno and Raiden paired in a crossover rp I did, and I found out they shared a voice actor after I plotted it.


But yes, Reno's voice made me think bad things. XD It's mega smexy. Sephiroth, too.

I do think Vincent's voice matches his character but I kinda wish it wasn't as harsh.

Sephiroth sends shiver's up my spine in a good way XDDD...holy shit I did not know that THAT was his voice actor in KH....it just makes me laugh really really hard. I guess I gotta give him props. I would have never known.

Cloud's voice is also good, I think it matches him.

I like Zack's voice too, it somehow fits his "I'm sexy but fun nature"

Aerith's VA is meh...I don't hate it, don't love it.

Cid's always makes me laugh. I love it.

There are two VAs I can't stand in Advent Children: Aerith and Rufus. Rufus sounds like he's high at times and he speaks with a weird rhythm.. Aerith simply annoys me.

I liked all the others, Cid didn't sound like I'd first imagined though (expected him to have a harsher voice). Loved Reno's, Zack's, Sephiroth's and Tifa's (most of the time). Wasn't too fond of Cloud but I think it's because I don't like the character *gasp*. Also LOVED Elena.
